Benji Norton

Born and raised in North Myrtle Beach S.C., Benji has actually lived in the shadow of his physician father who in fact delivered the famous letter-turner, Vanna White. Benji’s dad and three brothers all attended Clemson University and though Norton is a well-documented Clemson fan (aka Tater), he actually attended the University of South Carolina School Of Journalism where he flunked the typing test twice.  The radio bug bit Benji early and often and in the Fall of 1976 at the ripe old age of 17, he began his radio career at WNMB and has never stepped outside a radio station since. Benji has done stints in Knoxville, Nashville, and Raleigh-Durham as an on air personality, music director, program director and account executive. He can also be heard coast to coast doing commercial voice-overs for anyone who will have him. Benji attempts to lighten up The Early Game with Tommy Moody and Bob Shields, weekday mornings from 6a-9a on 107.5 The Game.
