The Oklahoma City Thunder said guard Nikola Topic underwent a testicular procedure Monday and will be re-evaluated in four to six weeks.
That takes Topic out of the running for the regular-season opener, Oct. 21 against the Houston Rockets.
The Thunder selected Topic 12th overall in the 2024 NBA Draft but he tore an ACL a few weeks before the draft and did not play as a rookie.
The 20-year-old from Serbia put up 10 points and seven assists in Oklahoma City’s preseason opener against the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday.
