Darius Acuff Jr. had 18 points, eight assists and five rebounds, Meleek Thomas and D.J. Wagner had 12 apiece points and the No. 25 Arkansas Razorbacks rolled over the Fresno State Bulldogs, 82-58, on Saturday afternoon in North Little Rock, Ark.
Karter Knox had 11 for the balanced Razorbacks (7-2), whose only two losses are to ranked opponents Duke and Michigan State.
Acuff, Thomas and Knox had three 3-pointers apiece as the Razorbacks made 11 of 30 from distance. D.J. Wagner made two threes.
Wilson Jacques had 12 points and a game-high 14 rebounds and reserve Jac Mani had 12 points for the Bulldogs (6-4), who have lost two in a row after a four-game winning streak.
Bulldogs guard Jake Heidbreder, who was averaging 20.0 points a game, had eight points and was 1-of-10 from the field, 0-of-5 from distance. He had made at least one three in every previous game.
Arkansas never trailed and led by as many as 32 while winning for the sixth time in seven games.
The Razorbacks shot 45.5% from the field. Their 11 3-pointers were two short of a season high.
The Bulldogs never got going against a defense that pushed them off the perimeter, shooting 34.9% from the field. They made 4 of 26 3-pointers and committed 17 turnovers.
Fresno State was 1-of-11 from the field to open the game and was never closer than seven points after a Malique Ewin jumper made it 9-2 6:30 into the game.
Thomas had nine points and Acuff had seven to help the Razorbacks build a 34-24 halftime lead. Knox made 3-pointers on their first two possessions of the second half to spark a 10-0 run for a 44-24 lead.
Knox added another three and Acuff nailed two to make it 56-30 lead with 15:25 remaining. Acuff’s third three extended the lead to 65-34 at the under-12 timeout.
Arkansas reserve Billy Richmond III was given a Flagrant 2 foul and ejected after he elbowed Bastien Rieber in the face as Fresno State was attempting to inbound the ball following a Thomas three with 9:40 remaining in a 70-40 game.
